Now that we are at the end of our first week in 2012 and I have managed to catch up on blogging, I thought now would be an ideal time to share some new resolutions for the new year. I'm not big on making new years resolutions, but I have a few goals I would like to see happen this year.
Become More Snap Happy
I love seeing other bloggers fanastic photography and hope to get more use out of our camera this year. I am going to make an effort to take it places and use it more often.
Read a Good Book
The process of writing a thesis doesn't really allow to just enjoy reading. It usually involves flicking through text books and journal articles to find information for the current chapter I'm working on. However, I have re-discovered the joy of reading at the beach this summer with few things to distraction me from a good read. I plan to take some time out each weekend to just enjoy reading something, whether it be at the beach or a local cafe.
Get on ya' Bike!
Now that I have a bike I really look forward to riding it, but I'm also a little scared as I haven't cycled since I was about 12! I am sure this activity will be paired with the resolution above.
Strike a Pose!
Taking photographs of pretty outfits is one thing, but I have always had the desire to be much more creative with these types of photographs as venture out into the real world beyond the confinds of my yard (gulp!). As someone who uses self-photography, I was recent inspired by this book post by Elyse and Rebecca. I have also decided to invest in a camera mount for my bike to help/experiment with this goal. Wish me luck!
Get My S**T Together
Let's face it, I'm pretty unorganised when it comes to keeping up-to-date with my blogging. I forever seem to be posting photos from 3 weeks ago, etc. I never want blogging to become a chore & thus I usually post when I have some spare time. However, during my attendance to a recent conference interstate I discovered the joy of scheduled posts, which I am thinking I might do more of in 2012.
What's your new years resolutions for 2012?

8 foot notes:
If you're looking for a riding buddy, let me know! I've been meaning to wheel mine out of the garage for ages...
These are on my list too. So nice to meet you just found your beautiful blog and so happy I did. I have enjoyed looking around and I'm now following you, wonderful to meet new friends. Hope you find a spare minute to visit and follow me sometime if you like. Sending you special wishes for a wonderful New Year I’m looking forward to keeping in touch in 2012.
Always Wendy
I've been struggling to come up with decent resolutions this year, so i gave up and went with 'I will paint my nails more often'. Hence they just got painted blood red after a week of mid-purple and aqua before that.
But yes, getting organised? I should do that too. Blogging is one of those things that can be so difficult when your life is busy.
What camera is that? It looks like mine, which is a D3100. =] Hope all your resolutions are successful!

I'm about to do one NY resolution and that was hand in my notice at my job..eeeeeek
love your style, greetings from Italy
Haha it is a scary thought venturing out of your backyard for outfit posts! I was set on getting a snap of my threads yesterday at the festival, but when we were in the crowd and my boyfriend was there ready with the camera, with people watching, I wussed out! Also I wanted to take sneaky pics of so many awesome outfits I saw on other girls, but is that creepy?
cute resolution post! would love to see more photography!
